This opportunity is for an experienced Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) seeking a dynamic and rewarding itinerant role in Florida. Location: Ocala, FL (Travel position with district-wide coverage)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Travel to multiple school locations within the district to deliver services and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, families, and other educational professionals to ensure students academic and social-emotional success.
- Utilize tailored strategies and resources to address the unique learning needs of students with hearing impairments.
- Maintain detailed records and progress reports, ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Florida certification as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in an itinerant capacity.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to student-focused, inclusive educational practices.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
