What youll bring:
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification for Virginia
- Experience working as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Solid understanding of the needs of visually impaired students, including support with braille instruction
- Strong communication skills and an empathetic approach to individualized instruction
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
What youll do:
- Deliver specialized instruction and resources to a student with TVI needs
- Support braille literacy and accessibility in the classroom
- Collaborate with general education teachers, faculty, and families to develop and implement individualized strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed
