• Certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist (state requirements may apply)
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school environment is preferred
• Familiarity with assistive technologies, communication modalities, and accommodations for diverse learners
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs

Your responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments to determine students needs and recommend accommodations
• Support classroom teachers in adapting instructional materials and strategies
• Advocate for student access to educational opportunities and resources
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and services provided
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school community events
