Job Description
This position is for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, serving K-12 onsite in Clarkston, MI. The role is a leave replacement contract, requiring 35 hours per week to support students across all grade levels.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with school staff, families, and related service providers
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies as needed
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant state and district policies
Required qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching License in Teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
- Professional school experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Completion of district fingerprint and background clearance
