Support students communication and educational needs as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist in a dynamic school environment near Arlington, TX. Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist, as required by the state
• Previous experience working within school settings preferred
• In-depth understanding of auditory devices, communication strategies, and assistive technology
• Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with educators, therapists, students, and families
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Comfort in delivering both direct and consultative services to students

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students needs and provide specialized instructional support in various classroom settings
• Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans for students with hearing differences
• Offer guidance and training to staff and families on effective communication and inclusion strategies
• Facilitate access to curriculum and school activities using interpreters, FM systems, and other supports as needed
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to promote academic and social success
• Maintain accurate records, contribute to IEP meetings, and participate in multidisciplinary teams
