Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or equivalent educational credential
• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Solid understanding of assistive technology and auditory support services
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, students, and families
• Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments, adapting content for their unique needs
• Assess students auditory and communication abilities and monitor progress
• Consult regularly with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive learning
• Provide training and support for staff on hearing loss awareness, accommodations, and use of technology
