Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Certification or credential as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist
  • Experience supporting students in educational settings
  • Knowledge of assistive listening devices, sign language, and communication strategies for varying levels of hearing loss
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs in compliance with relevant state and federal guidelines
  • Commitment to advocacy and ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:
