A specialized position is available for a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist at a school in Anchorage, Alaska. This contract role focuses on supporting students with hearing impairments, ensuring they have access to appropriate educational resources and accommodations tailored to their unique learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify the specific needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals to adapt curriculum and classroom environments.
- Provide direct support and instruction using hearing assistive technology and other adaptive tools.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist or equivalent credentials.
