Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist
- Experience working in school settings or with school-aged children with hearing differences
- Strong knowledge of audiological devices, assistive listening technology, and interpreting services
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication techniques as needed
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, parents, and district personnel
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to facilitate student access and success
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing loss, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams to implement accommodations and modifications
- Offer training, resources, and consultation to educators and families to best support students needs
- Support in the use and maintenance of hearing assistive technologies in the classroom environment
- Maintain accurate documentation for student progress and services provided
