Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist
  • Experience working in school settings or with school-aged children with hearing differences
  • Strong knowledge of audiological devices, assistive listening technology, and interpreting services
  • Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication techniques as needed
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, parents, and district personnel
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to facilitate student access and success
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing loss, both individually and in groups
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams to implement accommodations and modifications
  • Offer training, resources, and consultation to educators and families to best support students needs
  • Support in the use and maintenance of hearing assistive technologies in the classroom environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation for student progress and services provided
