Qualifications:

• Current licensure or certification required for providing school counseling services
• Previous experience working as a counselor in schools strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families
• Skills in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and individualized student planning
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical counseling practices

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and small group counseling to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional needs
• Support students in developing coping strategies, goal-setting, and problem-solving skills
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote a positive school climate
• Develop and implement proactive programs to address student wellbeing
• Respond to crisis situations and provide short-term interventions when necessary
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
