Help nurture the social and emotional growth of K-12 students as a dedicated school counselor for a contract opportunity. This position offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and adolescents located near the Sterling Heights area. As a full-time, onsite role, youll be a vital advocate for students well-being from October through December 2026.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Counselor License and Educator Certification required
• Prior experience supporting K-12 students, with a passion for youth development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and staff
• Ability to provide guidance regarding academic, social, and emotional issues
• Skilled in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and facilitating a supportive school environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions for students across grades K-12
• Assess student needs and develop actionable plans to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student care
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in line with educational regulations
• Participate in team meetings, school events, and professional development activities as needed
• Serve as an accessible resource for students, fostering a safe and inclusive environment
