Make a difference in K-12 education by taking on a pivotal role supporting students across all grade levels. A respected school in the Midland, TX area is seeking a contract Counselor to work full-time, providing essential guidance and support to learners from kindergarten through high school.

To thrive in this role, youll bring both your qualifications and your passion for empowering students to succeed. As a Counselor, you will serve as a key resource, helping students navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

• Current TX Counselor credential or certification required
• Experience working with K-12 populations preferred
• Familiarity with school-based counseling best practices
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, families, and staff
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a school setting

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an on-site presence during regular school hours, working 37.5 hours across 5 days each week
• Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student well-being and growth
• Participate in crisis interventions, meetings, and parent communications as needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a supportive school climate
