Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field.
• Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential.
• Previous experience as a school counselor in K-12 settings is highly valued.
• Strong communication, cultural competency, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish trust with students and families.
• Skilled in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and individualized student planning.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling for students individually and in groups, addressing academic, social, and emotional concerns.
• Develop and implement workshops on bullying prevention, social skills, and college/career readiness.
• Partner with teachers and administrators to design supportive interventions tailored to student needs.
• Conduct assessments to identify barriers and create customized plans for student success.
• Engage with parents/guardians, offering guidance and resources to foster positive outcomes.
• Maintain confidential records and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful school climate where every student feels seen and heard.
