Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field.
- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential.
- Previous experience as a school counselor in K-12 settings is highly valued.
- Strong communication, cultural competency, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish trust with students and families.
- Skilled in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and individualized student planning.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling for students individually and in groups, addressing academic, social, and emotional concerns.
- Develop and implement workshops on bullying prevention, social skills, and college/career readiness.
- Partner with teachers and administrators to design supportive interventions tailored to student needs.
- Conduct assessments to identify barriers and create customized plans for student success.
- Engage with parents/guardians, offering guidance and resources to foster positive outcomes.
- Maintain confidential records and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful school climate where every student feels seen and heard.
