Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid counseling certification/licensure appropriate for school settings
  • Experience working with students in K-12 environments
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and trauma-informed practices
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Familiarity with state and federal education regulations related to student services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet individually and in groups with students to address academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs
  • Deliver classroom guidance lessons and support school counseling programs
  • Assist with the development of individualized student plans and goal-setting
  • Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed
  • Serve as a resource to faculty and families, offering strategies for student support
  • Maintain confidential and accurate student records and documentation
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
