Job Description

Make a real impact by supporting students mental health and wellness throughout the school year in a contract position that serves a variety of schools within a large, dynamic district. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of educational teams dedicated to advancing mental health access and positive outcomes for students from early childhood through transition age. With a schedule aligned with the traditional academic calendar, youll have a meaningful, predictable work routine.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California licensure as LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW (or eligible Associate registration: AMFT, APCC, or ASW)
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field
  • Completion of at least 3,000 supervised clinical hours (or in progress, per registration)
  • Successful completion of California Law & Ethics and clinical licensing exams
  • Experience providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) in school settings is highly preferred
  • Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting/background check per California requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, on-site mental health services to students as part of an itinerant, districtwide team
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to develop and implement student supports
  • Provide assessments, individual and group counseling, and crisis intervention as needed
  • Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Serve multiple school sites, adapting services to diverse student populations
