Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field
  • Active, valid state certification or license for school counseling
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
  • Strong understanding of student development, counseling techniques, and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Comfortable managing confidential information appropriately

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to address students academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Design and implement prevention and intervention programs to promote student well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and behavioral objectives
  • Conduct assessments to identify students needs, set goals, and track progress
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide resources or referrals as necessary
  • Participate in school meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and support IEP/504 plan development
  • Foster an inclusive and safe school climate for all students
