Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid school counseling credential (California PPS or equivalent)
• Experience providing counseling services within an educational setting
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, educators, and families
• Familiarity with individual and group counseling techniques
• Understanding of social-emotional learning and developmental guidance practices
• Empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, emotional, and social support to students through individual and group counseling
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to address attendance, behavioral, and academic challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive learning environment
• Assist in designing and delivering classroom guidance lessons and school-wide programs
• Support crisis intervention and referrals to community resources as needed
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential student records in compliance with school policies
