Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Counselor
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting preferred
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Proficient in conflict resolution, individual and group counseling, and student assessments
  • Compassionate, proactive, and able to maintain student confidentiality
  • Ability to organize and implement student support plans tailored to individual needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in small groups
  • Develop and deliver programs focused on academic, career, and personal/social development
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create action plans for at-risk students
  • Assist with crisis intervention and referrals to community resources when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records of counseling activities and student progress
  • Contribute to the development of a safe, supportive, and inclusive school culture
