Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Counseling or related field
- Valid state certification as a school counselor
- Previous experience working in K-12 school settings
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Knowledge of academic, social-emotional, and career development counseling
- Proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support diverse student needs
- Assess student concerns, develop intervention plans, and offer appropriate referrals
- Guide students in academic planning, goal setting, and post-secondary exploration
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide programs that address bullying prevention, mental wellness, and social skills
- Maintain accurate records and comply with applicable privacy laws and school policies
- Participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development
