Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Hold a valid school counseling certification or licensure
  • Masters degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field required
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of academic, college, and career planning services for students
  • Proficient in developing and delivering group and individual counseling sessions
  • Skilled communicator who works well with students, parents, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional, academic, and social concerns
  • Support the development and implementation of school-wide counseling programs
  • Assist students with goal setting, college readiness, and career exploration
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for student success
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of student interactions and progress
  • Respond to crises and provide short-term intervention as needed
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students
