Step into a vital role supporting student mental health across a dynamic school district near Oakland, CA. This contract-based opportunity offers ten openings for skilled professionals to provide Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) in a districtwide, itinerant capacity from August 11, 2026, to June 2, 2027. The position is exclusively onsite and involves working across various age groupsfrom early childhood through transition ages.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California licensure as an LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW, or registration as an Associate with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS: AMFT, APCC, ASW).
- A masters or doctoral degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, clinical social work, or a related field.
- At least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience, plus successful completion of relevant state exams (California Law & Ethics, licensing exam for your discipline).
- Familiarity with school-based mental health practices and compliance requirements.
- Mandatory Live Scan fingerprint background check clearance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct mental health counseling and interventions for students identified with educationally related mental health needs.
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, school staff, and families to develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and strategies.
- Serve students at multiple school sites according to district needs (itinerant EC-Transition caseload).
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all district and legal standards.
- Participate in professional development and training pertinent to ERMHS service delivery.
