Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active, valid state licensure or certification as a school counselor
- Previous experience working with school-age children or adolescents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, families, and staff
- Ability to provide social-emotional guidance and crisis intervention as needed
- Capability to implement interventions, design programs, or lead small groups
- Comfortable collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive, supportive environment for students academic, personal, and social development
- Provide individual and small group counseling services tailored to student needs
- Assist in the development and implementation of programs focused on student success and mental wellness
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to address barriers to learning
- Respond to crisis situations with professionalism and care
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and communicate regularly with appropriate parties
