A school-based counseling opportunity is available for a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Moncks Corner, SC area, with a contract position located near Mount Pleasant, SC. This role provides essential counseling services to support student well-being and academic success in a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering individual and group counseling sessions to students to address academic, social, and emotional challenges.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop strategies that promote a positive school climate.
• Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans tailored to student needs.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student development and safety.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential preferred, issued through the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation (LLR).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and school personnel.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Commitment to supporting a diverse student population with empathy and cultural sensitivity.

Schedule:

• Contract position with approximately 35 hours per week.
• Start date as soon as possible through May 29th, 2026.
