Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification or license for school counseling
- Experience providing guidance and counseling services to children and adolescents
- Strong understanding of student development and social-emotional needs
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to address students' concerns and help them set achievable goals
- Develop and implement programs promoting positive behaviors, emotional health, and academic achievement
- Assist students in managing personal, peer, and family issues impacting school performance
- Collaborate with staff to create intervention plans for students needing additional support
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality in compliance with school and state policies
- Serve as a supportive resource for teachers, staff, and parents regarding students behavioral and emotional needs
