Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated counselor serving local schools. In this contract position, you will support students academic, emotional, and social development, working collaboratively with educators and families to create a positive and safe learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a school counselor
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality
- Organizational skills for managing diverse caseloads
- Adaptability and collaborative spirit
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students around academic, social, and emotional concerns
- Develop and implement programs that foster student well-being and resilience
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Offer crisis intervention and conflict resolution as situations arise
- Conduct assessments and provide referrals for additional support as needed
- Support school-wide initiatives that promote a positive educational climate
