Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field required
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Counselor
- Previous experience in a school-based counseling or guidance role preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and families
- Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to inclusivity in supporting diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students academic, career, social, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement strategies that foster student well-being and success
- Conduct crisis interventions and help manage conflict, behavioral issues, and peer relationships within the school community
- Administer and interpret assessments to support students in academic planning and personal development
- Organize and lead programs or workshops tailored to student growth, such as college or career readiness, anti-bullying campaigns, and mental health awareness
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and confidentiality standards
