Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a school counselor supporting elementary and middle school students on a flexible, part-time contract. This role provides a unique opportunity to work across multiple campuses, fostering growth and well-being for a diverse student population. With a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students, youll collaborate with educational teams, students, and families to create a supportive school environment.

Ideal candidates are passionate about guiding students, have strong communication skills, and possess a commitment to creating positive educational experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Valid LPC license in Texas, or SPED Counselor certification if lacking LPC.
  • Prior counseling experience in educational settings, ideally with both elementary and middle school students.
  • Solid understanding of student development, behavioral management, and effective counseling strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide group and individual counseling tailored to students social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop strategies that enhance student success.
  • Support students in navigating academic and personal challenges, ensuring a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes, ensuring compliance with district and state policies.
  • Travel between up to five campuses as assigned, adapting to student needs across varied environments.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to promote students well-being.
