Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Counseling, School Counseling, or related field
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a school counselor
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively
  • Empathetic, resourceful, and committed to student advocacy

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to address students academic, social, and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement student support plans
  • Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
  • Deliver age-appropriate programs related to bullying prevention, college/career planning, and mental health awareness
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school guidelines
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
