Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid state certification or credential as a School Counselor
  • Masters degree in school counseling or a related field
  • Proven experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Knowledge of counseling best practices and current student support strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social, and emotional concerns
  • Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs
  • Partner with teachers, staff, and parents to support student achievement and wellbeing
  • Identify students in crisis or who face barriers to learning and connect them with the right resources
  • Deliver classroom presentations on relevant topics such as conflict resolution, decision-making, and career planning
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness
