Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field
• Valid state certification/licensure as a school counselor
• Previous experience working in a K12 setting strongly preferred
• Proficiency in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavior management
• Compassionate communicator with strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
• Adept at collaborating with educators, administrators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address students academic, personal, and social/emotional needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate school counseling programs that promote student success and wellbeing
• Consult with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to craft effective intervention and support plans
• Respond to student crises and support school-wide crisis management efforts
• Facilitate workshops or classroom presentations on topics such as study skills, bullying prevention, and career exploration
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines
