As a School Counselor, youll serve as a vital resource for students, supporting their growth and providing guidance as they navigate school life. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters degree in School Counseling or closely related field
• Valid state certification or license as a School Counselor (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to manage confidential information discreetly and professionally
• Familiarity with current best practices in counseling and student advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students academic and personal development
• Develop and implement interventions for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to identify student needs and create action plans
• Support crisis interventions and participate in school-wide wellness initiatives
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and case notes in accordance with school policies
• Advocate for student well-being, equity, and inclusion
