Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• State-issued School Counselor certification or eligibility required
• Previous experience in a K-12 school counseling setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated expertise in social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards
• Familiarity with current counseling best practices and educational technology
• Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, personal, and social concerns
• Develop programs to enhance student success and overall well-being
• Support students through crisis intervention and provide resources and referrals as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Participate in student support teams and contribute to 504/IEP meetings as required
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and regulatory guidelines
• Lead workshops and informational sessions for students, staff, and parents on relevant topics
