Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid counseling credential/certification for schools (state-specific requirements apply)
  • Previous experience in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable conducting one-on-one and group counseling
  • Compassionate and culturally sensitive in diverse school communities
  • Able to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling for students academic, emotional, and social needs
  • Guide students through conflict resolution, coping strategies, and behavioral interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop student support plans
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student issues as appropriate
  • Assist with crisis intervention and resource referrals for students and families
  • Support staff training in mental health and wellness initiatives within the school
