Qualifications/Experience:
- Masters degree in School Counseling or closely related field
- Valid and current state-issued school counseling certification
- Experience in K-12 settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and conflict mediation strategies
- Commitment to cultural sensitivity and promoting diversity
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Create and deliver classroom guidance lessons addressing academic, career, and social/emotional development
- Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
- Facilitate referrals to outside agencies or community partners when appropriate
- Participate in the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to improve climate and well-being
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
