Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their academic, social, and emotional development as a contract school counselor. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively with educators, families, and administrators to create a nurturing educational environment.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid counseling certification appropriate for school settings
- Previous experience in a K-12 environment preferred
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster trust
- Comfortable conducting individual and group counseling sessions
- Familiarity with crisis intervention and conflict resolution best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address student needs
- Develop proactive strategies and programs to enhance student wellbeing
- Serve as a resource for students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students' academic and personal growth
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress per established guidelines
- Address urgent situations through immediate intervention and coordination of support
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive school culture
