Qualifications & Experience

• Masters degree in School Counseling or a closely related field
• Valid state certification or licensure as a school counselor
• Previous experience working with students in a school setting, preferably K-12
• Strong understanding of counseling best practices and ethical guidelines
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families
• Competence in crisis intervention and conflict resolution

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social, and emotional development
• Conduct assessments and develop action plans for students in need of additional support
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to identify and address barriers to student success
• Lead preventive programs and workshops on topics such as bullying, peer relationships, and academic planning
• Serve as a resource to the school community regarding mental health and wellness
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
• Participate in professional development and contribute positively to the schools climate
