Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid state certification or license as a school counselor
• Previous experience in school counseling or guidance preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with students, faculty, and families
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and discretion
• Competency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
• Organizational skills to manage caseloads, records, and program initiatives
• Proficiency in developing and presenting guidance lessons and workshops

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to support student academic, emotional, and social needs
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and parents to identify and address barriers to student success
• Implement school counseling curriculum and facilitate workshops on academic planning, career awareness, and social skills
• Participate in intervention meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
• Respond promptly to crisis situations and provide support or referrals as needed
• Maintain accurate, confidential student records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
• Advocate for students and facilitate communication between home and school
