Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field
- Valid state certification or licensure for school counseling
- Prior experience in a K-12 school setting strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to address student needs
- Strong organizational abilities and capability to manage confidential information
- Familiarity with crisis intervention and evidence-based counseling techniques
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support students social, emotional, and academic growth
- Implement preventative and responsive interventions to address challenges such as bullying, stress, or peer relationships
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop strategies for student success
- Conduct assessments and develop plans that promote academic achievement and positive behavior
- Facilitate parent meetings and communicate relevant concerns or updates
- Maintain accurate records according to school policies and ethical standards
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive learning environment
