Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid school counselor certification
• Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred
• Strong communication, empathy, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents
• Knowledge of counseling theories, crisis intervention, and student development
• Familiarity with district and state regulations regarding student support services

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling to address students academic and personal concerns
• Develop and implement prevention and intervention programs promoting mental and emotional health
• Collaborate with educators and families to develop strategies that improve student outcomes
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and refer to outside resources when appropriate
• Support students with career, academic, and personal goal-setting
• Maintain accurate records and confidential documentation in compliance with school policies
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings as required and advocate for student accommodations
• Facilitate crisis response procedures and contribute to a safe, inclusive school environment
