Job Description

School Counselor Elementary School Setting

We are urgently seeking a licensed School Counselor to support students at an elementary school near Fredericksburg, VA. This is an immediate-need position apply today to be considered!

Position Details:

Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week following district calendar

Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic, career, and social-emotional counseling to elementary students
  • Assess student needs and monitor academic and personal progress
  • Consult with families, teachers, and school staff to support student success
  • Support and coordinate student referrals to appropriate services
  • Maintain accurate student records while upholding confidentiality standards

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Completion of a state-approved counselor preparation program
  • Active Virginia School Counselor license
