What you bring:

  • Current certification or licensure as a school counselor
  • Experience in academic and/or social-emotional counseling within a K-12 environment
  • Strong communication and listening skills for student and parent interactions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other staff
  • Comfort with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and routine counseling duties
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing individual and group counseling plans
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidential records

What you'll do:

  • Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing academic, career, and personal/social development
  • Facilitate small groups and classroom guidance lessons on relevant topics such as bullying prevention, emotional regulation, and career exploration
  • Work closely with teachers and families to identify student needs and coordinate support services
  • Participate in student support and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as requested
  • Respond promptly to urgent student needs and effectively manage crisis situations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional confidentiality standards
