Your experience as a counselor in school settings will allow you to guide students through personal, educational, and social challenges. Youll have the chance to advocate for students, provide individual and group counseling, and implement programs that foster a positive school climate.

Desired Qualifications:

• Professional licensure or certification as a school counselor (valid for Utah, or eligible to obtain)
• Previous experience working as a counselor in a school or educational setting
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students dealing with academic, social, and emotional needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor student support and intervention plans
• Collaborate with staff and parents to address student challenges and celebrate successes
• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as necessary
• Support students in course selection, goal setting, and planning for future educational or vocational paths
• Advocate for student needs while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
