Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification or licensure as a school counselor in Ohio
• Masters degree in school counseling, counseling, or closely related field
• Prior school-based counseling experience preferred
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and trauma-informed practices

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students academic, social, and emotional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students achievement and well-being
• Develop and implement preventative programs around bullying, peer relationships, and conflict resolution
• Help students with personal goal-setting, academic planning, and transitions
• Intervene and provide support in crisis situations, referring students to outside resources as needed
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with school policies and confidentiality requirements
