What Were Looking For:

  • Valid Illinois State licensure for school counseling
  • Experience working with special education populations, including familiarity with IEP and 504 processes
  • Proficiency with EasyIEP software or similar IEP management systems
  • Understanding of district or state-specific requirements such as PEL (Professional Educator License)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Your Role:

  • Provide counseling services to a caseload of 21 IEP students and one 504 student each week
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement educational strategies and supports
  • Complete, document, and monitor all processes required for IEP and 504 compliance
  • Participate in student meetings, progress assessments, and intervention planning
  • Work onsite each Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for a total of 19.5 hours weekly
