Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in School Counseling or closely related field
  • Valid state licensure/certification as a School Counselor
  • Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques
  • Ability to adapt counseling methods for diverse student populations
  • Proficient in maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, career, and personal/social needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement student support plans
  • Conduct assessments and interpret data to identify students in need of additional services
  • Facilitate and participate in school interventions, counseling programs, and workshops
  • Promote positive school culture, anti-bullying initiatives, and social-emotional learning activities
  • Maintain detailed documentation of sessions and progress in compliance with school policies
  • Support students in goal setting, conflict resolution, and navigating transitions
