Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid school counseling certification or license (state-specific)
• Masters degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students, families, and staff
• Ability to approach sensitive topics with empathy and confidentiality
• Organizational abilities to manage caseloads, documentation, and plans efficiently
• Familiarity with developing and implementing intervention plans and crisis management

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address students academic, career, and social-emotional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development and well-being
• Develop and deliver classroom guidance lessons aligned with current needs and trends
• Respond to student crises, providing support and referring to community resources as needed
• Assist with developing individualized education plans (IEPs) or 504 plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain up-to-date records in accordance with professional and legal requirements
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment for all students
