Job Description

Make a difference in students' lives by providing vital mental health support across diverse educational settings. This contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, to June 2, 2027, and is designed for licensed mental health professionals passionate about school counseling and Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS). With multiple positions available, you'll serve an itinerant, district-wide caseload from Early Childhood through transition age, making a broad impact throughout the district.

Qualifications & Licensure:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field
  • Must hold or be eligible for California licensure: LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW
  • At least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience completed over a minimum of 104 weeks
  • Registration as an Associate (AMFT, APCC, or ASW) allowed if pursuing licensure
  • Successful completion of the California Law & Ethics Exam and all applicable clinical licensing exams
  • Background clearance via Live Scan fingerprinting
  • Experience in school, child, or adolescent mental health settings strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver mental health counseling and intervention to students as part of a districtwide, itinerant team
  • Collaborate with educational staff, families, and external partners to develop and support IEPs and ERMHS plans
  • Maintain accurate records and case notes while complying with legal, ethical, and district guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
  • Screen, assess, and make recommendations for behavioral and emotional supports
