Mental Health Specialist School-Based | Lapeer, MI area

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Mental Health Specialist for a school-based position in the Lapeer, MI area. This role will primarily provide individual and group counseling to general education students, with a focus on social-emotional support. The district is quick to interview and extend offers to qualified candidates who are a strong fit!

Position Details
Primarily supporting general education students
Provide individual and group counseling and social-emotional support
Support classrooms and school-wide initiatives as needed
Assist with professional learning and positive behavior programs
Complete SOAP notes and electronic documentation
Must be proficient with Google-based platforms

Qualifications
Masters degree is required; bachelors-level candidates cannot be considered
Must hold an appropriate Michigan/LARA license or qualifying school-based credential

Qualified backgrounds may include:
Psychology / School Psychology
Social Work / School Social Work
Marriage & Family Therapy
Professional Counseling / School Counseling

*Appropriate supervision requirements must be met

*School counselors with qualifying Michigan credentials may also be considered based on applicable licensing requirements
