This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours weekly, engaging with young learners and contributing your expertise where it matters most. Youll work alongside passionate educators and therapists in vibrant school environments located in the scenic areas surrounding Whitehall, PA, making a meaningful difference in students lives.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Pennsylvania
- Experience in school-based settings preferred, including knowledge of K-12 caseload management
- Background in healthcare or home health occupational therapy is a plus
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a varied caseload of K-12 students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress and adapt interventions to meet each students unique needs
- Promote skill development in areas such as fine motor coordination, sensory integration, and activities of daily living
- Support student participation and success within the school community
