Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by providing essential occupational therapy support as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This contract role involves offering itinerant preschool early intervention services across Carbon and Lehigh County areas, with an assignment that may evolve to include working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Candidates should bring flexibility and enthusiasm for serving diverse student populations in various educational settings.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Current, active Pennsylvania COTA license
  • Valid NBCOT certification
  • PPID number
  • Experience in a school-based or early intervention setting is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work on-site/in-person as required
  • Strong adaptability to caseload or assignment changes throughout the academic year
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills when partnering with therapists, educators, and families
  • Reliable commute from within Carbon or Lehigh Counties

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to preschool and, potentially, school-aged students under OT supervision
  • Travel between educational sites to support itinerant service model as scheduled
  • Document student progress and update records according to school and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with other service providers, staff, and caregivers to achieve each childs goals
  • Support transitions or varying assignments as needs shift during the school year
  • Adhere to all documentation, confidentiality, and ethical standards required in educational settings
