Job Description

Step into a dynamic school-based environment supporting students growth from PreK through high school as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This full-time, onsite contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027 and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in young learners lives. Youll work closely with a supervising Occupational Therapist, actively contributing to comprehensive therapy services across several school locations near Wheatfield, IN.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in Indiana, with current certification through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA)
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Reliable transportation for travel between sites (mileage reimbursed)
  • Confident collaborating with school staff, students, and families
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Occupational Therapy interventions as outlined by the supervising OTR, adapting to a varied caseload
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
  • Organize, prepare, and assist with therapy activities and necessary materials
  • Collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams to ensure student occupational therapy needs are met
  • Support the delivery of IEP-mandated services and help foster students academic participation
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervising Occupational Therapist
